Can I Use Old Cricket Sim Card to Sign Up for Service Again

  1. using a used cricket SIM?

so my brother is giving me his htc 521/510 (think thats the correct model number) and SIM carte du jour, will i exist able to apply that SIM carte du jour with a new business relationship and new number (having my number ported) with out getting hit with any fees?

  2. Deactivated SIM cards cannot be reused.

    Correct..............

  4. really!?!? thats as bad every bit heave (nextel) a few years back when they did the same thing...total BS im bout to say F cricket and merely become the ATT prepaid route...yes i know ATT owns cricket merely at least they dont penny compression u

  5. will i exist able to buy a SIM card (merely the SIM menu only nothing else) from the cricket website for 99 cents? also will i get hit with the $25 activation fee if i buy the SIM carte du jour online from crickets website?

  6. Even on AT&T yous cannot re-use a sim. Information technology is a security outcome. In RARE cases an AT&T rep can put in a request to special team to accept a sim reactivated, but there is much paperwork to be filled out to do this. It could really merely be done IIRC when a sim was already in the possession of the customer and information technology was accidentally de-activated, or was wrong due to a sim size upshot.

oh ok, well what if i re-activate the phone and SIM card past buying a $xl card from wal mart...keep the same account and phone number and simply port my number to cricket?

sorry i meant to say if i get the SIM card ship to me then activate it

  10. I incertitude Cricket support has the knowledge or know how to re actuate a sim.

You can telephone call the activation number in my sig and there is no activation fee.

  11. I recently bought an ATT mifi for 2 months of utilise a yr.. This is why I decided to just pay for service from gophone.. I didn't want to purchase another cricket sim every year and pay activation fees and everything else..

  12. The phone itself doesn't need to exist activated -- you merely need to get a new SIM menu with service

Cricket website has no activation fees, but they do not sell SIM cards by itself (take to order information technology with service)

Order the 99 cent SIM card online (make sure you pick the correct size) with 1 month paid service -- provide port info when ordering. Once you get the SIM menu in the post then you lot can finish activating service which will complete the porting process -- insert the SIM into the phone you want to use

Another selection is buying a $10 SIM card from Walmart (they simply have nano SIM with micro/standard adapters) or Gamestop (they take different SIM sizes) and so activating it yourself -- Walmart SIM is activated online and Gamestop SIM is activated by special phone number (yous pay for service when activating, no activation fee)

EDIT: how long does information technology take for the cricket SIM to come to my house?
